One of our soldiers, Meghan, sent me a couple of poems and works i thought were fantastic, not to mention a really great idea.  anyone who wants to put a female empowerment piece, just email it to me! :) ~GURLZ ONLY~ Sure I can be Wonderwoman- I thought girls could be anything? "yeah, you can be anything we want you to be" Well, I want to be Wonderwoman. No, Camron Diaz. I've made up my mind- I want to be Camron Diaz and play The blonde Charlie's Angel. Cause girls can be anyhting right? "Ok...not anything. If you're smart you can be a doctor. If you're smarter you can be an astronaught. If you're pretty you can be a model. But not Camron Diaz." Well, I'll be Marolyn Monroe. Yeah! I'll wear red lipstick And frost myself in diamonds! "Umm...well, if you're strong you can be a mechanic. If you're fast, be an athelete. You'll have to settle for that." NO WAY! I'm not strong or fast I can so be wonderwoman. And Camron Diaz. And Marolyn Monroe. I have a mirror, a curling iron, and I'm a gurrrl. Bitchin' Boots Independant click-I strut in yet another pair But it's the same as men collecting guns Only, my weapons are prettier. These ones are powerful Silky black taffy wrapped around A dainty, but sure foot. The heel is sturdily slender Demonstrating Woman's true stature It takes a beating and carries the weight. Solid ebony led by graceful swan steps And the point juts out like the swan's beak Empowering toe. You better not get too close Standing high as a thin stiletto I glare at you through dense lashes I'm not afraid because I'm armed I dare you to approach this curvy fortress Caution: contact potentially harmful...
