February 17,2004 So far we've had two fund raisers: We sold hershy kiss roses and told fortunes at a school dance. We made a bunch of roses with hershy's kisses, ribbon, wire and florist tape and sold them for a dollar each at our school, we made about a . At the school valentines day dance Vanessa and myself (Kelly) dressed like gypsies and told fortunes for a quarter a peice and made another 20 or so . You can see pictures on the second picture page.

- We have some ideas for new ways to raise money. We were thinking about having a Red Day in our school. We'd announce over the PA that everyone who wears red the following day would pay a quarter, that way we can also scope out our supporters in the school and hand them out info on heart disease (the numero uno killer of women in north america).
Also there's a speak off on Thursday, so I (I being Kelly) wrote my speech about "The Strength of a Woman", which is something that everyone should be aware of. I'm gona post my speech on this page after the speak off (cause i wanna keep it a surprise). Hopefully all the girlies from the club will come to support their fellow soldiers who are speaking ;)
Another fund raiser we're gona take part in is a clothing drive. The local cadet corps are collecting chilrens clothes to send to an orphanage in Afghanistan (sorry bout the spelling) so if you have any old clothes that aren't of use any more, send em our way and we'll make good use of them.
We're makin a kick ass cake to sell tickets on at our school. i know, it sounds so bake-sale-little-white-gloves-ladies-in-the-parlor, but you should really see this cake. it's freakin wicked.
